EXPLANATION

MUSICAL TALENTS FROM ACROSS THE GLOBE come together for one night during this landmark concert. entry is free and bodies fill the beach as far as the eye can see. many will find their pokemon singing along as well, causing the crowd to congregate around star performers. just make sure you stay in tune or you might end up buried in a sudden mosh pit.

THE THEME OF THIS GAME is for each team to sing at a certain volume to garner the performer’s attention. periodically, the artist will reach a peak, turning to the side of the audience that best matches their intensity. whichever team manages to catch the artist’s attention best throughout the concert wins!

rule one: post order

this game has no explicit post order based on players. instead, post order will cycle through teams in a specific order listed in a mod post. once a team has posted, any player from the next team may post but only one person from that team should post!

you can tag the enemy team in your post so they know it’s their turn!
if your team is approaching the EIGHT HOUR mark it might be wiser to post than let the enemy go twice!

list your moveset in every post and strike through each move as you use them. that way you don’t forget and your team can coordinate better!
in your notes, jot down your team name for maximum convenience.

LOW STRUNG GUITAR CHORDS FALL IN LINE as the blaring music weaves a hypnotic lull over the crowd. speakers scream with the same intensity of the battles during the day. as night falls, trainers unwind, heads bobbing to the rhythm of UNHOLY’s opening act.

“let’s fuckinggg GOOOOOO!”

strobe lights paint the stage in a myriad of neon colors. those lucky enough to score a spot in the front row are drenched in sweat. the fever of the lights is second only to the body heat of those clumped together. all that changes when the crescendo builds up to a bass heavy climax.

“we can’t hear you, HOENN!”

a drawn out solo riff cues the pyrotechnics. fireworks explode, illuminating the night sky is pokemon-shaped patterns. mechanical flamethrowers highlight each band member, drawing everyone’s attention as the night descends into a pent up release.

“WOOOOOO!!!!!! Let’s gooooo!!!” Eva isn’t your typical “rocker” kinda girl but crowds really got her fired up. The deep thrum of the bass drowned out the excited screech of the Aerodactyl that soared above the tightly packed crowd. Itching to be a part of the fun, Eva encouraged him lower. Gravity pulled them down close enough above the growing crowd for Eva to slip off and land amongst them. People take her descent as an attempt to crowd surf. Her feet never hit the ground. Instead, she is tossed up on top of the crowd. It doesn’t take much, she’s small and the crowd has little trouble tossing her around like a sack of potatoes.

greyson wasn't a huge fan of crowds. not in the slightest. but after his teams victory over the scum that was team groudon, he felt like a celebration was in order. at his leg, the sylveon seemed to definitely be enjoying herself.

so here he was. at a concert. vibing. awkwardly. he throws his head up to the massive screen showing the many fans in the arena.

Angelo was aptly – but that doesn't make it any less annoying – the type of drunk that has a habit of wandering away. [break][break]

It wasn’t long once the drinks had started flowing that he’d somehow gotten separated from his friends. Finding himself alone, lost and in the middle of the mosh pit, of all places. [break][break]

But even though he’s lodged within the midst of a withering mess of bodies and pokemon, sweat binding his clothes and hair to tanned skin, Angelo seems unperturbed by the enclosed space. A cocktail of alcohol and open skies, his Flygon swooping overhead to stir a humid breeze, ensures that the intoxicated thrum goes uninterrupted in his veins. [break][break]

With a sharp grin, EARTHQUAKE pounding through the beach and pulsating the sand in time to the heavy bass, Angelo throws himself into the fray; shoulder slamming against someone else. [break][break]

Razz isn't one for concerts. They're loud, annoying, crowded, LOUD. As it is he is far in the back with his pokemon to be away from the crowd as much as can be. Though his pokemon seemed to enjoy it so its why he is here. He has additional headphones in to help cancel out the noise somewhat as his pokemon enjoy the show. Azulon seeming to get most into it as he tried to help get attention for this side of the crowd as he sends a HYDRO CANNON straight into the air. [break][break]

It was such a trite game, but after already winning the tug of war, Amor didn't feel like losing this one either. No he would win all of the games here, and that was that. With Glaedr at his side, the ancient dragon began to glow emitting a powerful draconic aura, and with it surrounding his claws he stuck them straight up in the air giving the Rocker symbol, with both of the middle fingers pressed in, so the index, and pinky claws looked like devil horns, or in this case dragon horns. An ear splitting roar would come out from their side of the beach. If it was a contest of who could be the loudest then they would win.

If there was anybody who loved this sort of scene more than him it was his chimchar. Unholy was an addiction to them, a lifestyle, a choice. Sick lyrics, great stance, wonderful performance.

kyle goes along with the mood of the event, trying to feel like he actually belongs in here. concerts were usually not his thing since he can just watch footages of it over the internet for free, and without people, but he's not going to sour the mood by being that one person in the corner of the room of every party thread.

he raises his flareon up with the crowd and cheers on for the performers on the stage, trying to take a bite out of the bait that is this concert and latch on some semblance of normalcy.

Heh. So this was how Hoenn did it. Interesting. She could get into it, naturally. It was a bit weird to be on this side of the music, though. Then again, she was more of a classical singer, pop at best. This kind of music was more for the instrumentals, in her opinion, so she didn’t really get into it as much. But that didn’t mean that she disliked it, of course.

In fact, she did get into it, albeit in a more subdued fashion. The people around her were getting a bit crazy, while she mostly swayed with the melodious undercurrent, tapping her foot with the beat. Though Chandelure certainly enjoyed it. The ghost unleashed an Inferno straight into the air, as she’d taught it. If it needed to blow off….well, not steam, but fire….it should do so in a safe and conductive way, after all. At worst, she might roast some Pidgey or so in the sky. But there were enough trainers here. If it rained birds, someone would catch them.

Siobhan wasn't one for large crowds - so how did she get roped in this? who knew. her Whimiscott was more... in tune with the beats than she ever hoped to be. in Lorelai's eagerness, she released a cotton guard around the area, the fluffy little spores adding to the excitement of the crowd.

the woman tried to get into it as well, awkwardly dancing as she went. crowd surf? what was that?

but someone decided to lift her the hell up and throw her into the crowd. ahh! too many people, touching her in places she didn't want to be touched. goodness, gods... she would never do this again. never, ever. as she was thrown this way and the next, she shut her eyes and pretended she wasn't here.

as the concert starts the sound and lights of fireworks start exploding above the crowds heads as the music plays. however closer inspection would see that they weren't your average fireworks but instead the work of a draco meteor being fired off by a large dinosaur who kept tapping his feet to the beat of the sound coming from the stage. "yeah tyramigo you work that body! c'mon now! show them how loud you can be!" kazimir cheered on his partner who kept throwing out fireworks with each swing of his head to the beat of the rhythm.

THE CROWD GOES WILD as tourist erupt in a cheer for UNHOLY’S knack for playing the stage. the native crowd of hoennites seem divided; there are those who try to assimilate with an unfamiliar scene while other embrace the pounding vibrations by cutting loose. the mood starts to die down when the lights sudden go out.

“KEEP DREAMING ‘BOUT A BETTER WORLD!”

a single voice illuminates the stage as the curtains peel away. Melody Miro, tonight’s main attraction, saunters out with rehearsed steps, taking center stage while the band encircles her. a spotlight focuses on her as she plants both feet down, hands spread out, all in preparation to hit the first high note of the night.

“TRUST LOVE!!!”

perfection! the lyrics pulse to the heartbeat of those present with a spellcaster’s flair. several members in the FANCAM section swoon, chanting words of encouragement as they record the concert to upload online later. but this isn’t her first concert. her eyes remain on the crowd, sweeping through them with every word of the chorus.

until Kazimir Wynter’s DRACO METEOR catches her attention. they explode in tandem up above, drawing her attention as she shoots a playful wink and modest wave in his direction.
